When I was 17 I started seeing faces and hearing voices. They come pouring our of a table top I was sitting at and seized hold of my brain, tormenting me for years. When I began painting I realised I could channel these illusions into visual narrative paintings that reflected my own state of mind and what was going on in the world around me.
